Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization that is
dedicated to assisting in the fight against crime. A
24 hour hotline allows Crime Stoppers to receive anonymous
information and pay rewards up to $1000 for information
leading to arrest and/or convictions.
The goal of Crime Stoppers is to make McAllen safer for
all it's residents and visitors.
Stoppers is based on the principal that someone
other than the criminal has information that can solve
a crime. The program was created to combat the
three major problems faced by law enforcement in generating
>> Fear of REPRISAL
>> An attitude of APATHY
Reluctance to get INVOLVED
Stoppers resolves these problems by:
>> Offering ANONYMITY to people who provide information
>> Paying REWARDS when the information supplied
leads to arrest.
